Santa Claus didn’t skip Chesapeake’s Kids this year, working directly through elves Houston Guettner and Jonathan Goldstein. Houston, of Kingston, Tennessee, heard about our Music Project and decided to donate one of his violins to our cause. He took the violin to Jonathan Goldstein, a luthier and owner of The String Workshop in Oak Ridge, Tennessee to make sure it was in good condition to play. After telling Jonathan about our mission to provide gently-used musical instruments to our Title 1 schools so that more children could participate in the orchestra program, Jonathan decided to make a donation of his own – five violins with cases and bows!
Thank you so much to Houston and Jonathan for providing us six violins to help us bring the gift of music to the children of Chesapeake!
