It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Kathy Kosic, a volunteer with Chesapeake’s Kids. A retired librarian, Kathy began working with Chesapeake’s Kids last year, sharing her love of reading with us and the children in Chesapeake’s Title 1 schools. Kathy worked with us in cleaning, labeling and organizing our books as well as volunteering at our free book fairs. She was a dedicated worker with a passion for the children we serve.
True to her selfless nature, Kathy requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Chesapeake’s Kids to support our book project. With this final gift, hundreds of children will receive free books at our book fairs in the fall.
May Kathy’s dedication and compassion inspire all of us to use the time we are given to make a difference in the lives of others.
